Cranberry Delite Juice
Wonders of Cranberry
Do you like this amazing little red berry called the cranberry? Nature is really full of wonders and cranberry is one of the many wonders Mother Nature has given us. It is choked full of vitamin C and anti-oxidants which are a heavenly duo of your food intake if you want to look young and have better complexion, plus lots of others!
To extol its wonderful healing properties further, this article from Livestrong says that “cranberries pack multiple disease-fighting properties and are well-known for their ability to prevent urinary tract infections (UTIs). However, according to the George Mateljan Foundation, cranberries also contain nutrients that act as antibiotics, combat the herpes virus, maintain gastrointestinal and oral health, prevent kidney stones and cancer and help to manage cholesterol.”
Cranberries are very popular here in America and Canada and are often seen in holiday celebrations in varied kinds like sauce, drinks, casseroles or dessert. No one knows exactly for sure why this is the case, but many have speculated that it could be due to the native inhabitants of North American who like to use this red type of cherries for food and medicine, to the dyeing of clothes and blankets.
Speaking of cranberry juice, many households have stocked it in the form of tetra pack. Do you have it in your fridge? Remember to look for those with lower sugar content as it is certainly healthier.
Now, if you want to be more creative, you can use the cranberry juice in your fridge to make a fruit juice together with aloe vera, one that will make your lazy weekend afternoon even better when you serve it together with your casseroles. Add it with some slices of lemon and top it up with a slight bit of honey and this drink concoction will surely bring delight to everyone in your home, or for outdoor picnic parties.
Ingredients of Aloe Vera Cranberry Delite:
- 3 Capfuls of Aloe Concentrate
- 1 Tablespoon of honey
- 1 Teaspoon of Herbal Con Tea
- 4 Ice cubes
- 500 ml of cranberry juice
- Splash of fresh lemon juice
- Place ingredients in blender and blend until smooth
For this recipe, we use Herbalife’s Aloe Concentrate which I bought from Amazon. If you are doing to use this brand of aloe juice, please take note to use the original flavor as there is now a new mango flavor. We do not want to have the strong blend of mango in this recipe as it will disrupt the succulence of the cranberry taste. Other brands like Lily of the Desert is suitable too.
Hope that you enjoy this recipe.
